How the journey works
Damascus is the airport, and Suwayda is about an hour and a half south-east of it up onto the basalt plateau. Amman is the alternative for some travellers. The drive is straightforward; the thing worth planning is the arrival time, because the mountain road is not one to meet for the first time at night.
