How the journey works
Latakia is reached either through its own airport at Hmeimim, about 25 km south of the city, or by flying into Damascus or Beirut and driving up the coast. The coastal road from Beirut is the one most families take, and in high summer it is frequently both cheaper and faster than waiting for a connection.
The fare
Latakia in August is the hardest seat in Syria to get cheaply, which is precisely why it is worth asking us early. Families who book with us in winter pay a different price from the ones who call in July.
When to travel
This is the coast, so summer is the point: warm sea from June to October, and the whole country arrives in July and August. If you want the beaches without the crowd or the peak fare, late May and September are the two weeks everyone forgets.

Questions and answers
How far is the airport from Latakia?
About 25 km south, roughly half an hour by road. We can arrange the transfer with the booking so there is no negotiating a fare at arrivals.
Is Latakia worth it outside summer?
The sea is swimmable into October and the mountains behind the city are at their best in spring. Out of season you get the same coast at a fraction of the fare.
