How the journey works
Two ways in. Qamishli airport takes domestic flights from Damascus, so one route is a connection to Damascus and the internal leg north-east. The other is a flight to Erbil and the road across, which many families from the Jazira prefer and which is often cheaper. We are asked for both and we price both.
The fare
Qamishli is a route where the Erbil option regularly beats the Damascus one, and almost nobody checks it. We do — and it is a large part of why families from the north-east come back to us.
When to travel
Very hot in summer, cold and open in winter, and beautiful for the few weeks in spring when the Jazira plain is green. Spring fares are also the lowest of the year on both routings.
